I, generally speaking, do not like "moe" unless it is confined within a "slice of life" story, since I feel a "slice of life" is the most appropriate setting for "moe" characters.

Entertainment has been catering to its audience since the concept of entertainment was first thought up by cavemen sitting around picking each other’s fleas. I'm not sure I understand your statement. It's a great example of why entertainment should never cater to its own fans.
